Tips to make your road trip educational:

Make a plan: before you set out make a plan. Google all of the educational spots that you can stop at along the way. Museums, art galleries, battle grounds, and so many opportunities are easy and fun ways of adding learning content as you go.

Make a pit stop: stopping at Welcome Center’s as you enter new states is a great way to gather up info about the area around you. Brochures, coupon books, maps, and other things are typically free for the taking.

Make things up: no, not facts, but fun games. Use the printed materials you gathered and put together some fun games.

Download printables: there are tons of fun printable games out there for your road trip, including our Road Trip Printable Set that you can find here.

Encourage research: grab the Nifty Fifty Research Guide from our sister site, The Multi Taskin’ Mom and use the research guides to help your children research the states you are planning to visit before hand.
