Prime Day for Homeschool: Deals Worth Grabbing
Wading through all the deals on Amazon — finding the ones that are actually good & the ones that just wind up in your cart because the deal looked just too good.
And that’s why I’m here. I’ve browsed Amazon, resisted buying many (many!) things, and curated a list of items that are actually worth it.
(If you aren’t already an Amazon Prime member, you’ll need to sign up here to get all of the deals.)
If you want to go straight to the deals — the ones on this page & even more — hop on over to my Amazon store and browse all of the idea lists I’ve put together for you.
But first….
You see an item listed as a great deal on Amazon…but is it? A friend introduced me to CamelCamelCamel, which helps answer just that question.
1) Copy the link to the item and head over to CamelCamelCamel. Paste it into their site & you’ll see the recent prices.
2) Even easier: Add the CamelCamelCamel extension to your browser. When you’re on any Amazon page, click the extension button & it’ll pop right up.
That ‘Prime exclusive deal’ on this air fryer? $89.96 when I grabbed this image, about $20 higher than it was in April.

Around the Home
Reminders to leave for appointments, answering ridiculous questions only kids could think of, and a backdrop of music. Our Echo Shows & Dots are an ever-present backdrop to our home & homeschool.

After two years of running our robot vacuum twice a day, last year we grabbed the G20 version for our carpeted second floor — more suction power, same price.
We connected it to our Alexa device, so it’s set to run on a schedule.
If you or your kiddo love to garden, we have enjoyed our AeroGarden. I found it on clearance a couple of years ago…for MORE than it is right now!
Our robot vacuum runs daily, and I use our stronger vacuum at least once a week. But we have pets.
Still, I was skeptical that an Uproot pet hair remover would pick up much. To say I was wrong would be an understatement.
2025 Update: Uproot now offers a variety of versions & other products. Four years after we purchased it, I’m still amazed at how well this does. We use it on our stairs primarily because I hate lugging the vacuum up them.
For the Homeschool
It started with Trekking the National Parks.
Then we Trekked the World.
Then Through History.
Now you can trek your way through 20% savings on all games by Underdog Games.

This microscope is the one recommended to us when Elizabeth took biology through the Well-Trained Mind Academy. And it’s currently half the price!
If, like me, the last time you prepared slides was in 9th grade. These prepared slides have served us well.
Games & Toys Our Homeschool Loves
- Play-Doh (Not just for littles! A great fidget toy for olders.)
- Never Forget a Face (a memory game featuring kids from all over the world)
- Snap Circuits (explore how electricity works with fun projects)
Homeschool Supplies
- Math Cubes (a great math manipulative & building blocks)
- Papermate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencils
- Papermate Flair Felt Tip Pens, 16 Count
- Post-It Notes (enough to last you year!)
Our e-ink Kindles (not Kindle Fires) are a daily use item in our homeschool. While I love my Paperwhite version for reading at night, the regular one is what my kids use.

Field trips, co-op days, dinner on the way to soccer. We never used these Bentgo boxes, but based on the 56k+ reviews, many people love them! (These are the ones we used.)
