10 Helpful (but Fun!) Alexa Skills to use in your Homeschool

This post is part of my 10 Days of Homeschool Tech series.  Don’t miss the rest of the series!

About a year ago, we were given a smart speaker for Christmas.  Until then, we had been pretty resistant to them.   As a techie, I loved the idea of automation and the ability to connect together so many things.  But I also doubted we’d actually use it.
WE WERE WRONG.
Alexa is probably growing tired of all our demands some days!  “Alexa, set a timer for 10 minutes.”  “Alexa, spell accommodate.”  “Alexa, play the news.” “Alexa, what’s the difference between ‘amount of’ and ‘number’?” “Alexa, what can I use as a substitute for turmeric?”
Now we have numerous devices, smart plugs, and routines.  We’re all in!  One of my favorite things about Alexa are all the skills you can enable–there’s a skill for everything, including ones perfect for use in your homeschool.
