Minecraft Story Starters
I don’t know about your children but mine LOVE Minecraft. N can sit and watch YouTube videos and then play the game for hours. He is quite good at it.
Minecraft is a great learning tool if you want to use it for your homeschool!
Your children can learn so much just by playing a video game! Who knew?
This game can teach multiple things as your child plays. Things like different elements found in the earth. They will see that those elements have to be changed into other elements to create products. For instance they have to smelt iron ore to create iron bars. Then they use those iron bars to create weapons and tools to use in the game.
Noticing my sons love of the game I looked and looked for printables and couldn’t find them anywhere. So I decided to go on a search and create my own! You can grab vol. 1 here. Read below to find out how to get vol. 2!

My son, who complains about almost everything to do with school, and can talk Minecraft until we are ready to scream, was so excited about your pages. How odd. I am not sure what the issue is. Are you using Adobe for the previewer?
I have the same issue as Shraddha, I’m unable to see any of the starter text when I download them – they open in a separate window (not a pdf file). I use a MacBook, so maybe that has something to do with it. I do have Adobe, but its not using it to open the files and I’m not sure how to change that. Hopefully I can work something out as my very reluctant writer son would love these!
When the new window opens near the bottom of the page you should have the option to save the file. Try opening that and see if it helps. I am on a PC so I am not sure if that is the issue or not.
I am having the same issue. I am just getting pictures and lines, but no words/story starters.
What browser are you using? I am able to view and print it from Chrome. I am not sure where the issue is coming from.
I am on a macbook. When I click on the link, it just opens in a new tab. I tried saving it to my computer too. It saves as a PDF, but it still does not have the story starters.
Sorry- I am using Safari as my browser.
How odd, Kim. I was able to open them in Safari. I wonder if it is because the server has been so busy. Can you give it a try now?

My daughter LOVES Minecraft!!! She too battles with writing so these will help immensely. There is also a Minecraft book (fiction) that my daughter read cover to cover in one night. I got it on Amazon, and there is another one due out soon. I’m thinking it’s a series.

Love your storystarters. I don’t know enough about minecraft to do this simple poster I want to make for my son to encourage him on his upcoming tests at school. Do you have any minecraft quotes that would be encouraging for a child getting ready to take a big test? Thank you for any help you can give and thank you for the great story starters!

Thank you so much! Is there any way you may assist me, however. I too am having trouble with words appearing on the printouts. I tried my PDF Vista and the regular PDF…no success. Any suggestions?
I would try opening them from the download folder instead of the web browser. That seems to fix things. If that doesn’t help please let me know and we can trouble shoot a bit more!

Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much for these printables. My almost 7 year old son is new to Minecraft and still learning to play but LOVES it. I am always trying to find ways to get him to write so I am very excited about showing him these tomorrow. Even better, tomorrow I will be babysitting my friend’s kids which includes two boys (ages 6 and 9) who also love Minecraft. The Minecraft Story Starters will be a fun activity to keep them all busy and writing for a little while.
