Black Friday for Homeschoolers

Curriculum sales on Black Friday?? Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd, too. Who’s looking for curriculum now? But, sure enough, it goes on sale. Do you need to buy something new for the spring semester? Or maybe you have a beloved favorite that you use every year? If it works within the budget, it’s a great time to save.

If your inbox is like mine used to be, it will be s-t-u-f-f-e-d with sale ads that weekend. So maybe you don’t want any more emails. No problem; I will update this page a few times each day from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. So bookmark it & check back.

You relax; I’ll hunt for the deals.

My Top Picks for Black Friday

My Favorite Meal Planner App (and so much more)

A decade ago, I was switching meal planning systems every few months. I couldn’t stick with anything & I regularly started dinner only to find that I was missing an ingredient (or two).

Plan to Eat changed that. Loyal PTE user since 2012!

It’s time for our annual Better than Black Friday sale. The sale starts mid-November and goes right up ’till Christmas. Everything Christmas is on sale!

My Favorite Coffee

Verena Street Coffee, an Iowan coffee roaster, is my favorite source for coffee beans. And it’s on sale for 25-40%. We’ve enjoyed every variety, but our favorites are Mississippi Grogg and Lock & Dam #11. They have a variety pack if you want to try out their flavors.

Saving $$ without Sales

Rakuten

I always check whether an online store has a Rakuten rebate offer.  All year long, they usually offer 2-5% back, with the occasional higher percentage.

During Black Friday, rebates can go up much higher.

  • 15% back from Lego.com
  • 15% back from Dyson

We both get a $50 bonus when you sign up here & make a purchase.

Is that really a good deal??

You see an item listed as a great deal on Amazon…but is it?  Copy the link to the item and head over to CamelCamelCamel.  This site tracks Amazon prices so you know if this price is really a good deal.  If you want to watch for an item to drop to a certain price, you can sign up for alerts, too.

Amazon Lists Just for You

The Homeschool Breakroom now has an Amazon Storefront. What does that mean for you? It means that you don’t have to wait for me to send out individual links or round-ups. Instead, you can head straight ot my Storefront & for curated lists of our favorite products for homeschooling & the homeschool life.
